Meet Dr. Heyrani
Dr. Heyrani is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (Board Certified) and a Harvard fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon.
He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from U.C.L.A. and completed his orthopedic residency at U.C. Davis. After his residency. Dr. Heyrani completed his subspecialty fellowship in foot & ankle reconstructive surgery from the prestigious Harvard-Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston under the mentorship of internationally renowned foot & ankle surgeon, Dr. Christopher DiGiovanni.
He has contributed to several academic studies, which have been published globally and are recognized by the American Association of Orthopedic Surgery. In recent years he has spoken at national conferences, where he provided strategic counsel on stem cell regenerative therapies for orthopedic injuries, and was a team physician providing sideline coverage for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer during his fellowship at Harvard. He is also a consultant for Lincoln City Football Club in the English Football League.
Meet Dr. Matthewson
Graeme Matthewson, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon from Winnipeg, specializing in sports medicine. His expertise includes shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle arthroscopy, cartilage restoration, and comprehensive shoulder reconstruction. Dr. Matthewson’s medical journey began after personal orthopedic injuries from powerlifting and hockey. He graduated top of his class from the University of Calgary Medical School, followed by an orthopedic residency at the University of Manitoba. He completed further fellowship training in sports medicine at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute and additional training in shoulder and elbow arthroplasty in San Francisco. Dr. Matthewson also trained at the Pan Am Clinic in Winnipeg, focusing on complex sports and shoulder reconstruction. Committed to patient-centered care, he believes in a holistic approach to recovery, emphasizing minimally invasive surgery to enhance outcomes. In his free time, Dr. Matthewson enjoys outdoor activities with his family in Southern California.

I highly recommend Dr. Heyrani and his staff. Dr. Heyrani operated on me for a fractured ankle and had a very successful outcome. He definitely cares for his patients! I had a situation with my insurance and the doctor went out of his way to ensure the surgery was still possible prior to my insurance expiring. I have always left his office well informed and with a plan until our next scheduled visit.
I broke my tibia at the knee, requiring an extensive repair and recovery. Dr. Heyrani and his staff were extremely attentive and personable. Dr. Heyrani is a very skilled surgeon, my pain has been minimal and the incision is healing up nicely. I am so lucky to have had him throughout my recovery. I highly recommend him!
